A drought-resistant house plant with thick, fleshy leaves. It grows best indoors in a pot in well-draining compost (the addition of grit or sand can aid drainage) in a bright but dry position. Turn the plant regularly to encourage even growth. Too much full direct summer sun, however, can cause the succulent to scorch and turn yellow. In spring and summer water weekly, allowing excess water to drain away. In winter water less frequently allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings.
